The price of gold and silver seen many fluctuations in past few days, however on Wednesday, April 29 the domestic commodity market the MCX opened, the prices of gold and silver rose. Nevertheless, a slight decline began once again shortly thereafter. Today, the price of gold settled at ₹1,50,077 per 10 grams, and the price of silver reached ₹2,43,600 per kilogram.
On Tuesday, April 28, gold prices on the MCX closed at ₹1,49,918 per 10 grams, while silver closed at ₹2,42,499 per kilogram. Compared to yesterday's closing prices, gold has become dearer by ₹159 and silver by ₹1,101 today. Due to rising tensions in the Middle East and increasing crude oil prices, these fluctuations in the commodity market may persist in the future. Significant volatility is already evident in gold and silver prices. This instability in the commodity market is likely to continue until crude oil prices stabilize.
Ahead of wedding season, middle-class families are still waiting for a substantial drop in gold and silver prices. Prices had already witnessed a significant surge even before tensions escalated in the Middle East; consequently, the minor downward pressure currently being observed is insufficient to offset that earlier rally.
