A first month of year, January gold price saw all-time peak, continuing their significant rise by almost 20 percent. On MCX, the price of silver has reached Rs 2,63,431 per kilogram. Given this decline in prices, it is seen that investors have booked profits.
The price of 24k gold priced at Rs 16,178 per gram and 22K gold is available at Rs 14,830 per gram, with a rise of ₹40, while 18K gold costs ₹12,134 per gram, showing an increase of ₹33. Gold prices fell over 12% in the first 10 days of February 2026, particularly after the Union Budget presentation by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1st. While 24-karat gold is primarily purchased for investment, 22-karat and 18-karat gold are mainly used in jewelry making.
