While a marginal rise is visible in gold prices today, a slight decline has been recorded in silver prices. Just yesterday, a drop of over ₹7,000 was recorded in silver prices. The volatility in crude oil prices appears to be impacting gold and silver rates.

Today, in the domestic futures market, gold prices opened at ₹149,550 per 10 grams, and silver prices opened at ₹243,438 per kilogram. On Monday, gold prices on the MCX had closed at ₹149,350 per 10 grams, and silver prices at ₹244,001 per kilogram. Compared to yesterday's closing rates, a decline of ₹200 per 10 grams was recorded for gold, and a drop of ₹563 per kilogram was noted for silver today. Following a significant surge in crude oil prices, a marginal decline is now being observed. However, WTI crude remains priced at $104 per barrel and Brent crude at $113 per barrel, which continues to exert pressure on the commodities market.

Silver prices are facing significant pressure today; however, this decline could present a favorable buying opportunity for the general public. In Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, the price of one kilogram of silver has reached ₹255,000. Additionally, in Chennai, the price stands at ₹265,000 per kilogram. Several market experts have predicted that tensions in the Middle East may continue to exert pressure on prices in the short term.
