Gopal Rai meets DCP North East on law & order situation

(IANS) Delhi Cabinet minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday met the DCP, North East district over the law and order situation in the area, weeks after deadly communal violence in parts of the district.

New Delhi, March 11 Delhi Cabinet minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday met the DCP, North East district over the law and order situation in the area, weeks after deadly communal violence in parts of the district.

After the meeting, Rai said the two discussed the arrests in the area after the anti-CAA violence.

"Anyone who was involved in violence should not be allowed to move free. Also, we discussed that any innocent person should not be arrested," Rai tweeted.

The violence started in northeast Delhi on February 23, killing over 50 people. Hundreds of others were injured.
