AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has accused the central government of not treating Telangana fairly when it comes to sanctioning projects and resources. Speaking on the issue during recent press conference, Owaisi highlighted the lack of parity in resource allocation despite the presence of eight BJP MPs from the state, including union ministers.

"I feel that the Government of India is not treating the people of Telangana fairly and justly. Despite having eight MPs from BJP, some of them are union ministers, justice is not being done to Telangana in terms of sanctioning projects. Our only demand is that, on the basis of parity, what is being given to other states should be sanctioned to the state of Telangana," Owaisi stated.

He also pointed out a disparity in the allocation of IPS officers, citing that smaller states like Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Punjab, and Jharkhand have more IPS officers than Telangana. "A proposal was made by the state of Telangana to increase the existing strength that has not been approved," he added.
