A huge fire broke out in a hostel in Greater Noida on Friday afternoon, March 28. The blaze erupted due to a blast in the air-conditioning. At the time of the incident, 160 students were present in the hostel. Videos shared on social media show students jumping from the building to escape the fire, while one student is seen falling from the balcony while descending the ladder. 

The hostel is located in the Knowledge Park-3 area of Greater Noida. As soon as the incident was reported, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and controlled the fire. The incident caused panic in the area, and the administration has launched an investigation.

According to reports, two girl students were reported to be trapped on the second floor of the hostel during the incident. Locals tried to bring them down with the help of a ladder, but one of the students fell down as she jumped while descending. According to the fire department, he did not suffer any serious injuries and is completely safe.
