Greater Noida (February 20, 2025): A woman allegedly assaulted an eight-year-old boy outside an elevator at a residential society in Greater Noida West after he requested her not to bring her pet dogs inside. The incident, which took place at the 12th Avenue building in Gaur City on Wednesday, was captured on CCTV. The footage shows the woman dragging and hitting the child. The video has since gone viral on social media.

According to the boy’s mother, Kanika Arora, her son was returning from tuition and was inside the lift of B Tower when the woman entered with two pet dogs. The child, scared of the animals, requested her to let him leave. In response, the woman allegedly pulled him out of the lift by his neck and hit him.

The CCTV footage shows the boy pleading with the woman while she is seen slapping him. Residents of the society expressed anger over the incident and demanded action.

Noida Police took immediate note of the video and launched an investigation. Authorities at Bisrakh police station have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Later, they took her into custody. Police said the woman had been involved in previous disputes over her pet.
