Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], April 1 : Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday flagged off the grand Shobha Yatra from Camp Hanuman Temple in Ahmedabad.

On this occasion, he offered prayers to Lord Hanuman and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of the state's citizens.

According to an official release, the grand Shobha Yatra was organised by the Camp Hanuman Temple Trust in Shahibaug, as part of its annual tradition. The yatra began in the morning after the collective recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa.

Chief Minister performed the aarti of Lord Hanuman's chariot and then flagged off the main chariot of the Shobha Yatra by offering a Shrifal.

Notably, elephants, camel carts, various trucks, the 'Operation Sindoor' tableau, a giant mace, devotional music groups, and a large number of devotees participated in the procession. The Shobha Yatra was welcomed at several places along its route.

On this occasion, President of Camp Hanuman Temple Sudhir Nanavati, ADC Bank Chairman Ajay Patel, other trustees of the temple, and a large number of devotees were present.

Earlier on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Gujarat on a one-day visit and was warmly welcomed at Ahmedabad Airport by Governor Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi.

On this occasion, BJP State president Jagdish Vishwakarma, Agriculture Minister Jitubhai Vaghani, Minister of State for Health Praful Pansheriya, Chief Secretary MK Das, Additional Chief Secretary of GAD Anju Sharma, In-charge Director General of Police K LN Rao, Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik, Major General Gaurav Bagga, and Ahmedabad Collector Sujit Kumar also greeted and welcomed the Prime Minister.

The PM addressed a public gathering at Vav-Tharad after inaugurating and dedicating multiple development projects worth more than Rs 20,000 crore. These projects span key sectors including Power, Railways, Road Transport & Highways, Health, Urban Development, Tribal Development, and Rural Development.
