A major accident took place in Bharuch district of Gujarat on Tuesday. A major blaze broke out at UPL-5 plant of a chemical company in Jhagdiya area. About 24 employees were injured in the blaze.

According to information received, the incident took place around 2 am on Tuesday. Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot and work is underway to douse the fire. The accident happened at the company's CM plant. 

It is said that 24 employees were injured in this accident. All have been admitted to hospitals in Bharuch and Baroda for treatment. Meanwhile, the cause of the explosion is not yet clear. However, efforts are being made by the fire brigade to control the fire.
