Gujarat Firecracker Factory Blast: An explosion at a firecracker factory in Gujarat’s Banaskantha district has killed at least 17 people. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning at a warehouse in Deesa GIDC. The explosion was so powerful that the entire factory collapsed. Rescue teams have retrieved 13 bodies so far and the death toll is expected to rise. Authorities fear that several workers may still be trapped under the rubble. More than 60 people are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals, and the situation is still under control.

The blast took place when a boiler exploded in the factory. Workers were inside at the time and were unable to escape before the explosion. According to the reports, all the deceased workers were from Madhya Pradesh.

Banaskantha District Collector Mihir Patel said emergency response teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. " Till now, 13 bodies have been retrieved from debris at the factory. The whole RCC slab had collapsed. The relief teams are removing the debris. Four people who were injured in this incident are in stable condition. Police probe on, FSL team called for further investigation."
