In a tragic road accident on Thursday night in Vadodara, Gujarat, a drunk driver rammed his car into four pedestrians, resulting in the death of a woman and leaving three others with serious injuries. The incident occurred in the Karelibag area. According to senior police officer Panna Momaya, the car was speeding when it struck several people.  "One woman died in the accident, while three others are receiving treatment. We will be filing an FIR and are currently reviewing CCTV footage related to this drink-and-drive case. The investigation is ongoing," Momaya said.

A video from the scene, circulating on social media, shows the inebriated driver, dressed in a black t-shirt and grey trousers, exiting the vehicle and shouting "another round" as bystanders tried to subdue him. Meanwhile, the co-passenger can be seen fleeing the scene, insisting he was not responsible for the accident as the driver was at the wheel.

The deceased woman has been identified as Hemani Patel, who was reportedly out with her minor daughter to buy Holi colors. Emergency services rushed the injured individuals, including the child, to a nearby hospital. A large crowd that had gathered at the site reportedly beat the driver before police arrived.
