In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old student has died by suicide in his hostel room at the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) campus in Gandhinagar. The student, Vansh Gaint, was a third-year student of the university's five-year integrated LLB course and hailed from Patiala, Punjab.   Vansh Gaint was found deceased in his hostel room, with investigators and authorities currently unable to determine the reason behind his decision. The incident came to light around noon on Tuesday when fellow students discovered Vansh on the floor of his dorm room. After he failed to respond to repeated calls and did not open the door, his roommates broke the door to enter. He was reportedly found hanging from the latch and had fallen to the floor when the door was opened. The university's in-house medical team was immediately dispatched to the scene, and Vansh was subsequently transported to a private hospital near Bhat for treatment. He was pronounced dead approximately 45 minutes after admission, according to university authorities.

The victim's family arrived at the hospital by evening. University registrar Dr. Nitin Malik described the incident as "unfortunate" and expressed condolences to the family. "Our prayers are with the family," he stated. "The family was apprised of the situation and assured of all possible help in the probe." At the family's request for a full forensic investigation, the body was transferred to the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad. Following the completion of necessary procedures, the family will transport the remains to their hometown for the final rites.
