Gurugram: Disturbing incident of crime has came to light  from Khandasa village, were a man allegedly strangled wife to death over  suspicions about her character. After the murder, the husband informed his wife's family that he had assaulted her. When the family arrived, they discovered the murder. The accused husband is currently absconding. The Sector 37 police station registered a case on Friday and has launched a search for the accused.

Kanpur resident Sheelu, 30, was identified by police as the victim of a homicide. Sheelu was married to Sunny Dayal, who worked for a private company and lived with her and their two children in Khandasa village, Gurugram. Sheelu's family alleges that Sunny Dayal had physically abused her repeatedly. On Wednesday night, following an argument fueled by suspicions about her character, he allegedly assaulted and strangled her.

Sunny Dayal called Sheelu's brother on Wednesday night, confessing to beating Sheelu and asking him to take her away. The brother informed Sheelu's elder sister, who lives in Khandasa village. She reached Sheelu's house on Thursday morning and found her dead. The police were informed and found the couple's two children at home, but Sunny Dayal was missing. After a post-mortem examination, the police handed over Sheelu's body to her family on Friday and began an investigation.
