Gurugram, Dec 1 The Gurugram police claimed to have busted two vehicle lifters and recovered six stolen vehicles from their possession.

The police also said that twelve vehicle theft cases have also been solved with the arrest of the accused, officials said on Tuesday.

The suspects have been identified as Wasim and Aabid, residents of Nuh district in Haryana.

According to the police the accused were active in Gurugram and Rewari and had committed the crime in these two districts.

The duo accused has already gone to jail in Rewari and Gurugram several times. Currently the accused were on bail and were continuously committing the crimes.

Crime Unit Manesar in charge Amit Kumar said, "A tip-off was received about the suspects running a vehicle lifters gang. The suspects had stolen dozens of vehicles in the recent past."

The suspects were arrested from Panchgaon Chowk on the National Highway 48, on November 29 but since then they were on police remand, he said.

The duo had stolen 12 two-wheelers in the past eleven months, which they have given to a junk dealer, police said.

However, police suspects that the duo had prepared various types of keys to steal two-wheelers.

Kumar added that more stolen vehicles could be recovered in a further probe.
