Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh (July 16, 2025): A major fire broke out at Kirti Krishna Bal Chikitsalaya, a private children’s hospital in Hardoi, on Wednesday. As thick smoke filled the building, locals and hospital staff acted quickly. They used sarees as ropes to rescue trapped children from balconies on the upper floors. Videos from the scene showed dramatic efforts as people risked their lives to save the children. According to the media reports, over 20 kids and others were rescued using makeshift ropes.

Firefighters reached the site with water tenders and brought the blaze under control. Several critically ill children were shifted to Nirmal Nursing Home and other nearby hospitals for treatment. No casualties were reported.

The cause of the fire is not yet confirmed. However, reports suggest it may have started due to a short circuit in the hospital’s electrical system.
