In a deeply disturbing incident a young teacher from Haryana was critically injured after by hit by a four-wheeler allegedly driven by students in Sonipat. The incidentb which happened last week has sparked outrage across the state. The incident came into light after CCTV cameras captured the horrific visuals. After a detailed investigation the victim was identified as Sangeeta of Tikaram Girls School. On the day of the accident, the victim was on her way to school when a white Baleno car rammed into her vehicle. She suffered injuries to her leg and elbow. The car was driven by students who fled the scene to avoid getting mobbed by the public.
The CCTV retrieved shows two students arriving on a scooterand later entering a white Baleno. The accused students first approached cautiously but soon lost control and hit victim’s scooter. The impact was such that Sangeeta was thrown of the ground. One of the students opened the car door briefly, however, they reversed the vehicle and sped away leaving the woman bleeding on the road. Post the accident, bystanders ignored the injured female later few of them eventually came to her rescue.
A day after the accident, Sangeeta’s husband, Arun Malik, filed a formal complaint at the City Police Station. In his compliant he alleged that the car’s number plate (HR10AH-6078) was fake and actually registered to a bike—not a Baleno. He suspects the real number of the vehicle is HR10AH-6079. Arun submitted the CCTV footage as evidence. He also expressed anger and frustration over police inaction, stating that no steps were taken until the matter was reported in the media.
