Young man was brutally murdered in the fight between two laborers living in a rented room in the Sampla area of Rohatak. Following the attack accused fled from the scene after the incident. Upon receiving information, Sampla police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it for post-mortem.

Deceased identified as Deepu, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. He shared a rented room on Dahkaura Road with Sikandar Yadav, a resident of Madhubani, Bihar. According to police, the two were drinking alcohol with another friend, Vipin, in the room on Saturday night. During the conversation a fight broke out between them and in this Sikandar Yadav picked up a small gas cylinder kept in the room and hit Deepu on the head leaving him seriously injured.

After the incident, the accused fled the scene, while the third accomplice also left. When the landlord arrived at the room in the morning, he discovered the incident and immediately informed the police. Police station in-charge Pankaj Kumar said that police teams have been deployed to search for the accused and the matter is being investigated.
