Himachal Cabinet recommends winter session from Dec 9

The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet on Monday decided to recommend to the Governor to convene the winter session of the Assembly from December 9 to 14 in Dharamsala in Kangra district. It will have six sittings.

The Cabinet, presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, also decided to organize the state-level function on completion of two years of the state government in Shimla on December 27.

Ground-breaking ceremony for starting various projects for which memorandums of understanding have been signed would be held on that day.

The Cabinet gave its approval to make passing of matriculation from the state schools must for recruitment to Class IV posts, whereas for Class III posts passing of matriculation and Class XII from the schools or institutions situated in state mandatory.

It gave its nod to notify Mukhya Mantri Dastkar Sahayta Yojna for providing 75 per cent grant to Himachal artisans living below poverty line on purchase of new equipment of Rs 30,000.

It decided to request the government of India to upgrade Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic College at Paprola Kangra district to All India Institute of Ayurveda for providing specialized healthcare to the people.

The Cabinet gave its nod to fill 200 posts of ayurvedic pharmacists in the Ayurveda Department on contact of which 103 posts will be filled up through direct recruitment and 97 posts on batch-wise basis.

It also gave its approval to request government of India for setting up of All India Institute of Homoeopathy in government sector in the state.
