Himachal HC restricts hearing of cases

The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Tuesday announced restriction on its functioning by suspending all its regular work till March 31 in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shimla, March 17 The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Tuesday announced restriction on its functioning by suspending all its regular work till March 31 in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The court has decided only new cases of "extreme urgency" will be listed for hearing.

Such cases include bail petitions, both fresh and pending, criminal appeals and revision petitions, a High Court statement said.
