Srinagar, July 17 A house and 16 shops were damaged on Friday in a landslide on Srinagar-Leh national highway in J&K's Ganderbal district.

Police said a landslide hit the Srinagar-Leh highway at Bonbagh village 36 kilometres from Srinagar.

"One residential house and 16 shops were damaged by the landslide that also blocked the Srinagar-Leh highway. Fortunately, no casualty occurred due to the landslide. Men and machinery have been pressed into action to clear the landslide and resume traffic on the highway," police said.
