A 40-year-old woman, identified as Anju Dasari Ramiah, disappeared from her residence in Jawaharnagar, Hyderabad in May 2025. She was foud buried inside her own residence a year later. Her disappearance left her family and neighbours deeply concerned. As days stretched into weeks and months, there was no information about her whereabouts, intensifying the mystery surrounding her sudden absence. A missing person case was registered, but despite efforts, no substantial leads emerged. Meanwhile, her 16-year-old daughter continued living in the same house, managing life on her own. The prolonged silence and lack of clues made the case increasingly puzzling, as authorities struggled to determine what had truly happened to Anju during that time.
Nearly a year later, the investigation took a shocking turn when Hyderabad police discovered Anju’s body buried inside her own home, the very place from where she had vanished. According to officials, the crime was committed by her teenage daughter with the help of her boyfriend, Monti Kumar Singh. In an attempt to mislead authorities and avoid suspicion, they concealed the body in a bedroom and lodged a missing complaint. Investigators revealed that the duo viewed Anju as an obstacle to their relationship, which ultimately led them to plan and execute the murder inside the house.

Police further stated that although the girl was a minor, she went on to marry her 22-year-old boyfriend, a goods truck driver, and the couple now has a two-month-old baby. During a renewed probe into the unsolved case, officers received crucial information that led to a breakthrough. The teenager eventually confessed to the crime, following which both accused were detained. Authorities have begun the process of exhuming the remains, while further inquiries are ongoing to establish all aspects of the case and gather additional evidence.
The incident has left neighbours stunned, as they claimed the girl appeared to be living a routine life despite the body being buried inside the house. They noted that she showed no visible signs of guilt or distress during this period. It also emerged that Anju’s husband had abandoned the family five years earlier and had since remarried, currently residing outside Telangana. The disturbing revelations have raised serious questions about the circumstances leading to the crime and the unnoticed developments within the household over the past year.
