A 21-year-old YouTuber, Komali, allegedly died by suicide in Hyderabad following a reported dispute with her partner. Originally from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, she was pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree and had been staying with her relatives at Chitrapuri Colony in Manikonda. Komali was active on social media and had built a presence on YouTube. She was in a relationship with Nikhil Reddy, a software engineer and fellow YouTuber, who also hailed from Visakhapatnam. The two were reportedly close, but their relationship had experienced turbulence in recent months.
According to police officials, Komali had previously attempted to take her life around six months ago when Nikhil allegedly tried to distance himself from her. At the time, her family members intervened and provided emotional support and counselling, helping her recover. However, recent disagreements between the couple, particularly over the issue of marriage, are said to have reignited tensions. Investigators believe that an argument regarding their future together may have deeply affected her emotional well-being.
On Monday, while she was alone at home in Manikonda, Komali allegedly hanged herself. The incident came to light after her mother filed a complaint with the Rayadurgam police. Following the complaint, authorities registered a case and began an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding her death. Police officials stated that they are examining all angles, including the nature of the couple’s relationship and the events leading up to the tragic incident.
