In an tragic accident two workers died and three sustained serious injuries, after falling from the under-construction building in the Tolichowki Al Hasnath colony under Mehdipatnam police station limits in Hyderabad. This incident occurred around 3pm on Thursday, March 3, 2026 Al Hasnath colony under the Mehdipatnam police station. Following which all the injured were sent to hospital for the treatment, said ACP B Krishan Kumar.
According to ANI report upon immediate inspection, two were found dead at the scene. The third laborer, along with three others injured, were admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. A case will be filed and investigated based on the complain. BRS MLC Dasoju Shavan slammed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), stating that it failed to safeguard the general public by overlooking the safety regulations.
"This is a 20-30-foot-long lane, and a seven-storey building is under construction here without safety regulations. GHMC, which is responsible for taking care of the safety is failed severely. They have been irresponsible. Due to this accident, two people have died after falling from the seventh floor of the building. The debris fell onto the autorickshaw and injured several others..." he said.

Victims from Andhra Pradesh are demanding ₹1 crore per family from BRS as compensation, along with medical treatment for the injured. The incident has fueled criticism of the government's corruption and inefficiency, leading to accusations that Hyderabad has deteriorated from a global city into a garbage-filled and accident-prone one.
