At the Lokmat journalism awards in Pune today Shiv Sena MP and Samna Editor recalled memories from his early days as a journalist. Sanjay Raut revealed that he has met Dawood Ibrahim several times and on occassions have scolded the D-Company boss. Raut said, “No one calls a government that has been established today a mockery. It's called government. Because he is led by Uddhav Thackeray and his guidance is directed by Sharad Pawar, "said Sanjay Raut.

“Maharashtra has always been a Congress stronghold. Regional parties grew in Maharashtra. "If Delhi had focused on Congress in the elections, the numbers would have increased today," he said. Continuing further Sanjay Raut said, "The government that came in right now is not a test tube baby, but born properly. I was sure that BJP would not follow the words. I knew this only after the results of the Lok Sabha elections said Raut.
