Indian Air Force's (IAF) Jaguar fighter aircraft crashed near Baldwala village in Morni, a hilly region of Panchkula, on Friday. The pilot managed to eject safely and landed using a parachute. Confirming the incident, IAF issued a statement and said a court of inquiry has been ordered. “A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed today in Panchkula, Haryana . The aircraft had taken off from the Ambala airbase on a training sortie. The pilot ejected from the aircraft. A court of inquiry has been ordered into the accident”, a statement issued by IAF read.
The incident took place in the morning hours, causing panic among local residents who witnessed the aircraft going down. Upon receiving information, a team from the local police reached the crash site to assess the situation and ensure public safety.Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the crash.
