Indian Air Force's (IAF) Jaguar fighter aircraft crashed near Baldwala village in Morni, a hilly region of Panchkula, on Friday. The pilot managed to eject safely and landed using a parachute. Confirming the incident, IAF issued a statement and said a court of inquiry has been ordered. “A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed today in Panchkula, Haryana . The aircraft had taken off from the Ambala airbase on a training sortie. The pilot ejected from the aircraft. A court of inquiry has been ordered into the accident”, a statement issued by IAF read. 

The incident took place in the morning hours, causing panic among local residents who witnessed the aircraft going down. Upon receiving information, a team from the local police reached the crash site to assess the situation and ensure public safety.Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the crash. A detailed investigation is expected to be conducted by defence officials to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.Further updates are awaited as officials continue their probe into the fighter jet crash.
