An IndiGo flight from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, to Delhi made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport on Saturday morning, March 28. Firefighters received information about the emergency at around 10:53 am.

According to the fire department, all passengers are safe and no injuries have been reported. Upon receiving the alert, fire engines were immediately dispatched to the airport to ensure a safe landing.

The aircraft was carrying 161 passengers. Initial reports suggest the flight experienced engine trouble. However, IndiGo has not yet released detailed information.

A full emergency was declared on Runway 28 to facilitate the landing. Fire brigade vehicles and ambulances were stationed along the runway as a precaution.
