A 30-year-old Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) employee, Dharmendra alias Golu, was fatally stabbed in a violent altercation following a dispute over namkeen items at a Maha Shivratri bhandara. The incident occurred around midnight on Friday in the Pardesipura area.

Dharmendra, a resident of Kulkarni Ka Bhatta who worked installing paver blocks, had brought sev-nukti for his brother, Devendra.  Accused individuals Sanjay Bangar, Abhishek Bangar, and Akash, who work at a garment shop, demanded some of the food. When Dharmendra refused, they began verbally abusing him, leading to a heated argument and physical altercation. Locals intervened, and Dharmendra returned home.

However, Dharmendra later returned to the bhandara location to retrieve his slippers. Upon his return, he was confronted by women from the accused's family, who grabbed his collar. The three accused then attacked him, stabbing him in the abdomen with a knife, causing severe injuries. Dharmendra was rushed to the hospital but died en route.

Police have registered a murder case against Sanjay Bangar, Abhishek Bangar, and Akash. One of the accused has been arrested, and police are actively searching for the remaining two.  Dharmendra's brother, Devendra, stated that the initial dispute arose when Dharmendra refused to share the sev-nukti he had brought for him.
