A fierce encounter between the army and terrorists has been underway since Sunday in the Singhpora area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir. According to police and army sources, at least three terrorists are believed to be hiding in the area. Continuous firing is taking place from both sides, and security forces have cordoned off the entire area. Meanwhile, approximately seven army personnel have been injured in the encounter so far and are receiving treatment in Udhampur.

Security forces launched a search operation in the dense forests of Kishtwar following intelligence reports of terrorist activity. The operation led to an encounter when terrorists opened fire. The challenging terrain and dense foliage complicate the security forces' advance, but they have surrounded the area, blocking all escape routes.
