One Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist has been killed and two more were reportedly trapped by the security forces at the time of encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district on Tuesday, May 13, as per the India Today report, quoting sources. This comes after security agencies put up 'Terror Free Kashmir' posters of three Pakistani terrorists.
As per the security agencies, Lashkar terrorists, Adil Hussain Thoker, Ali Bhai and Hashim Musa are suspected to be behind the deadly Pahalgam attack that killed 26 tourists, including a Nepali national, on April 22. Posters have appeared in various parts of the Shopian district announcing a Rs 20 lakh reward for anyone who provides information about those involved in the Pahalgam terror attack. Authorities have assured that the informant’s identity will be kept confidential.

Based on a specific input about the presence of terrorists in Shukroo Keller area of the south Kashmir district, security forces launched a cordon and search operation there. The search operation turned into an encounter after the terrorists fired upon the forces who retaliated.
