A major fire broke out at the main bus stand in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday night, April 8, destroying seven parked buses. Firefighters rushed to the spot after receiving information and found that six buses were already fully engulfed in flames. The fire brigade team worked for nearly seven hours to bring the blaze under control.

A total of seven buses were reduced to ashes in the incident. Fortunately, officials confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries. A major tragedy was averted as the incident occurred at midnight and no one was inside the buses.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. They are examining whether it was triggered by a short circuit or if any other angle, including sabotage, is involved.
