In a startling incident in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, an autorickshaw driver was apprehended for violating traffic rules by carrying 19 passengers, far exceeding the authorized limit. The event occurred on the night of February 15, 2025, during a routine police check conducted by the Baruasagar Police Station.

The authorities were taken aback when they discovered the overcrowded autorickshaw, and the entire scene was recorded on video, which quickly went viral. The footage shows passengers exiting the vehicle one by one as the police order them to line up for a headcount. To everyone’s astonishment, the total count reached 19 passengers inside the auto. The vehicle was immediately seized, and legal proceedings have been initiated. In a video statement, the Circle Officer of Taharoli provided updates on the ongoing legal actions related to the case.
