In a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Jharkhand's Palamu district, two persons killed and two others got injured. This tragic accident occurred on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at around 3pm in Karihar village in the Patan police station area. 

Deceased identified as 45-year-old Omprakash Ram of Padwa and 55-year-old Ramsaran Das of Chak. Both the injured are currently admitted in hospital are currently undergoing treatment. 

Meanwhile, a tourist bus overturned in Odisha’s Nayagarh district in the early hours of Saturday, in which atleast 5 person got killed and 30 others injured. The accident occurred, around 2 a.m, bus was carrying 55 passengers, overturned on the Hanuman Ghati road at Daspalla. According to media reports, the cause behind the accident was speeding.

Deceased identified as Hari Patra, his wife Laxmi Patra, Suprabha Sahu, her daughter Sumati and the driver, Prabin Kumar Sahu.  All were residents of Berhampur. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed grief over the incident and conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased persons.
