Reason for Protest at Bokaro Steel Plant
Several people, under the banner of BSL Visthapit Apprentice Sangh, staged a protest near the company's gate in support of their demands, including employment, reported the news agency PTI. The demonstrators were obstructing employees who were heading to the plant during the agitation," said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Bokaro City, Alok Ranjan.
The security personnel deployed at the company gate had urged them to allow the employees to enter the steel plant, but when they did not comply, the CISF personnel resorted to a mild lathi charge to disperse them. Two demonstrators sustained injuries in the incident, the police officer said.
