The weather department has forecasted thunderstorms with lightning and light rainfall in parts of Jharkhand starting February 19. An official stated that partial cloud cover is expected over most areas of the state from Tuesday, with the minimum temperature likely to rise by two to three degrees Celsius over the next two days.

According to the weather department's temperature bulletin on Monday, the minimum temperature across Jharkhand remained above 12 degrees Celsius in the past 24 hours, with the exception of Chatra, which recorded a minimum temperature of 11.8 degrees Celsius.

Baharagora in East Singhbhum district recorded the highest minimum temperature at 18.4 degrees Celsius. The state capital, Ranchi, registered a minimum temperature of 15.6 degrees Celsius, which is 2.8 degrees above the normal. Abhishek Anand, In-charge of the Ranchi Meteorological Centre, stated that partial cloud cover is expected over parts of Jharkhand starting Tuesday.

"Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and light rainfall is likely over Jharkhand on February 19 and 20 due to movement of a western disturbance eastwards and a north-south trough at lower levels," he said.
