Kanhaiya Kumar, former president of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union has been protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He has also tweeted on the NRC and NPR. He has made comparison between NRC and NPR citing the example of Gangadhar and Shaktimaan. Kanhaiya Kumar wrote on his official Twitter account, "There is as much difference between NRC and NPR as Gangadhar and Shaktimaan". There is a lot of politicalk tension going on in the country with regards to the NRC and NPR. 

While giving an interview to news agency ANI on Tuesday, Home Minister Amit Shah said that NPR has nothing to do with NRC, it is a very different process. Many opposition leaders have started raising questions about this statement. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi had also questioned and asked why the Home Minister is misleading the country?
