Kanpur: Case has been registered against the seven members of the in-laws' family, including the husband, for allegedly forcing her to consume alcohol, while he was intoxicated and forcing her into unnatural sexual acts after showing her obscene films. She alleged that her father in-law's behaviour towards her was not good. and he molested her and tore her clothes.

According to Jagaran reports, victims claim that her in-laws taunted her over the insufficient dowry and she demanded an additional sum of Rs. 10 Lakh and upon refusal physically assaulted her and evicted her from the house. After complaint police have registered case against in-laws and have started investigation. 

Victim is a resident of Ratanpur, stated that she had completed a course of hotel management and she met her husband while working in the hotel in Jabalpur. Following which they got married in April 24, 2024. Her dowry and wedding expenditure costed Rs. 12lakh and despite of this her in-laws taunted her regarding inadequacy of dowry and demanded more money, which she refused. 

The victim reported that her husband, after drinking alcohol, would force her to do the same, show her obscene videos, and coerce her into unnatural sexual acts. She was frequently beaten for resisting. She further alleged that her father-in-law once broke into her room and attempted to assault her, tearing her clothes when she resisted. Her screams alerted other family members, who intervened.
