A video showing a dhaba worker kneading dough with dirty drain water has sparked outrage in Kanpur. The viral clip led police to file a case against the dhaba owner and the worker.

The video shows the worker mixing filthy water into a bowl of flour before using it to prepare chapatis for customers. Authorities launched an investigation after the footage spread online. The dhaba, identified as Sagar Dhaba, is located on Bhouti Highway under Sachendi police station limits.

Sub-Inspector Ajit Kumar Singh filed the complaint, stating that the food served at the dhaba was adulterated and posed serious health risks. Police registered an FIR against dhaba owner Ram Bahadur and the worker, who is a resident of Moolganj.

The dhaba owner claimed the worker had been hired only for a day. Locals expressed anger over the incident, fearing health issues such as diarrhea and stomach infections.

A team from the Food Safety and Drug Administration collected food samples and sent them for testing.
