In a significant development, Kannada actress Ranya Rao has been arrested in connection with a gold smuggling case. The court has ordered her to be held in the custody of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) for three days for further investigation.

The order was issued by the Economic Offenses Court, presided over by Justice Vishwanath C. Gowdar. Authorities are probing Rao’s alleged involvement in an illegal gold smuggling network, with further details expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
