A devastating road accident on National Highway 150A in Chitradurga district has claimed the lives of a father and his two minor sons, while two other family members sustained serious injuries. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, between Challakere and Ballari, near Bommakkanahalli Majid in Monakalmur taluk. According to reports from The Times of India, the victims have been identified as 35-year-old Moula Abdul, who was driving the car, and his two sons, 15-year-old Rehman and 10-year-old Sameer. The family was en route from Bengaluru to their hometown of Yadgir when the fatal crash occurred.A CCTV footage of the accident has surfaced on the social media platform X, showing the harrowing sequence of events. The video reveals a speeding car losing control after hitting the highway divider. The vehicle then tumbles uncontrollably, flipping over at least 15 times before finally landing on its tyres. The impact was severe, leading to the tragic loss of life and serious injuries to the survivors.

Moula Abdul’s wife, Salima Begum (31), his 75-year-old mother, Fatima, and another son, Hussein, survived the crash but sustained serious injuries. They are currently receiving treatment at the Ballari Medical College and Research Centre. The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest that the vehicle was traveling at high speed when it collided with the divider, but further details are awaited. This tragic accident marks the second major road mishap reported from Karnataka in the past 24 hours. Earlier on Tuesday, two siblings lost their lives after the car they were traveling in collided with a Tempo Traveller at a toll gate near Gundlupet, Karnataka .Muskanul Firdouse (21) and Shehshad (24) died in the accident at Bendagalli Gate in Gundlaupet. Their father and Kondotty native Abdul Azeez (45), family members, Shaasiya (25), Sinan (17), Adil (16) Adam (4), and eight-month-old Ayath sustained injuries in the mishap. . While on a family trip to Mysuru, their car (KL 84 B 0372), collided with the Tempo Traveller in the wee hours of Tuesday.Three of the injured were critical and admitted to different hospitals for treatment. Two have been shifted from Gundlupet to a hospital in Kozhikode for specialised care.
