A family of five miraculously escaped after their car plunged into a river at Thiruvilvamala in Kerala's Thrissur while following directions on Google Maps. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, at the Ezhunnallathkadavu barrage across the Gayathripuzha River, which connects Kondazhi and Thiruvilvamala panchayats.

Family of Five Miraculously Escapes After Car Plunges Into River in Thrissur

Balakrishnan, a resident of Chengottur in Kottakkal, Malappuram, was driving the car while returning home with his family. Reportedly, while relying on Google Maps for navigation, the vehicle lost direction and veered into the river. Fortunately, all five passengers were rescued by local residents who rushed to their aid.

Last year in November, three men died in an accident in Uttar Pradesh after their car fell off an incomplete bridge over the Ramganga River in Faridpur, Bareilly district. The victims were using Google Maps direction to navigate from Gurugram to Bareilly.
