Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 11 Parents can now monitor the academic progress of their children studying in 12,943 state-run schools in Kerala from anywhere.

The 12,943 state-run schools house 36 lakh children.

This has been enabled through the 'Sampoorna Plus' Mobile App, developed by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE), the technology arm of the Kerala General Education Department, for State schools, now accessible to parents.

K. Anvar Sadath, CEO of KITE said the Sampoorna Plus App allows parents to easily monitor their child's academic progress through the app.

"Necessary cyber security and security features have been incorporated into Sampoorna Plus besides empowering parents to actively participate in their children's education," said Sadath.

This includes features like student attendance, academic performance, and evaluation of extracurricular activities to benefit teachers, students, parents, and the public.

Sampoorna Plus facilitates the recording of students' attendance, academic progress, and progress reports, thereby enhancing communication between parents and schools. These features are integrated into both the Sampoorna Online School Management System and the Sampoorna Plus Mobile App.

The official version of the App titled 'Sampoorna Plus' can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store. After installing the app, users should select the 'Parent' role from the available 'HM/Teacher/Parent' options.

First-time users will be required to sign up using the OTP sent to their mobile number registered in the app during their child's admission.

Parents should contact the respective school authorities to ensure their mobile number is correctly updated in the app.

When a parent logs in to 'Sampoorna Plus' using their mobile number as the username and their password, they can only view the profiles of the children linked to that mobile number.

In the profile, parents can view messages from the school, attendance, mark lists, and more. The communication facility within the Mobile App enables seamless interaction between parents and teachers.

The government order mandating the use of Sampoorna online management software in all schools also directs the implementation of measures to enhance the software.
