A major fire broke out in a garage and a plastic warehouse on Arupota Road in Kolkata on Saturday morning, February 15. Several vehicles were burned into ashes due to the ranging blaze, which broke out at around 11.10 am in the morning. Four fire tenders rushed to the spot, and firefighters are working on war footing to deal with the situation.

A video shared by the news agency IANS shows black smoke engulfing the area, and officials are doing rescue work at the spot. Due to the presence of many flammable materials, the fire spread to other structures, cutting off power to the entire area.

Kolkata Garage Fire 

Meanwhile, nearby residents were evacuated from their homes, according to the latest reports. Fire officials said the cause of the fire could not be ascertained unless the fire was completely brought under control. But no one was trapped inside, and no casualties or injuries were reported.
