A 70-year old Kolkata man who recently won a Rs. one crore lottery has seeked police protection. The individual who has been identified as Indra Narayan Sen stated  that he is afraid to step out of the house after his fortunes turned over-night. Sen, a  tubewell operator brought loterry tickets just as an afterthought but did not believe his luck after his win. The news about the jackpot was revealed to him by the owner of the Lottery Center. Sen, himself did not keep an eye on the results which was declared around 8pm.  It was only after the shop-owner came to his house that Sen believed the news. 

Sen, then accompained with the shop-owner to his shop to check the results only then was he convinced about his victory. However, the word soon spread out that Sen won, Rs. one crore prize money as the shopowner decked up his small shop with flowers.  Sen admits that his life has completely changed with everyone wanting to shake his hand. He even visited the local SBI branch to deposit the lottery ticket. 

He was informed that the amount will be credited to his account within three months. Meanwhile, post his win Sen, has lost his peace of mind which is why he went to the cops. The Officer-in-Charge did assure him of all the help. When quizzed about what he plans to do with the money he said that he wants to donate a part of it to build a Durga temple at his in-laws place. The rest of the money he has decided to divide among his three sons and grandsons as he aims to secure the future of his dear ones.
