Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 28 Cash-starved Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), which is having a hand-to-mouth existence and is searching for non-operative revenues in order to earn extra cash, has decided to rent out its exquisite product - double decker buses - for photo shoot opportunities.

The KSRTC had made profit only in its first year of operation way back in the sixties and since then payment of salaries and pensions has always been a big pain for successive governments. On most occasions, it's the state government which bails out KSRTC, whenever things turn sour for the organisation.

After finding great response to its offer to rent out a double decker bus for a pre-wedding photo shoot to Ganesh and Lekshmi, who will tie the knot on January 18, 2021, the KSRTC officials have decided to make it a money making venture.

The present rate that has been fixed is Rs 4,000 for 50 km travel and an eight-hour duration in the state capital.

Interested persons can book this double decker bus for conducting pre and post-wedding shoots and also for birthday parties.

The KSRTC has decided to see the response and in all likelihood this scheme would now be extended to other cities like Kochi and Kozhikode as well.
