In a video which has gone viral on social media, a leopard was killed by locals on the outskirts of Guwahati, after it ventured into the human habitat in search of a prey. After killing the big cat, the locals also paraded its dead body amid cheers from the onlookers. In the video a group of men could be seen holding the big cat using its limbs, after killing it.  

Meanwhile, the incident has not appeased police authorities who have filed a complaint on the incident. 6 people including a minor has been arrested for the gruesome offence. "Acting swiftly, @GuwahatiPol arrested 6 people, including a juvenile for the killing of a Leopard that took place today at Katahbari Pahar. Gorchuk PS Case No 315/2020 has been registered and investigation is on to apprehend others involved," said a statement issued by the Assam Police on social media.Watch the video of the brutal killing of the big cat here....
