Amid ongoing tensions in West Asia, there is some relief for India on the energy front. According to government sources, two Indian LPG carriers, ‘Green Sakshi’ and ‘Green Asha’ have safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz and are expected to reach the country soon.

Both ships are carrying over 60,000 tonnes of LPG, making the consignment crucial for maintaining the domestic gas supply. ‘Green Sakshi’ is likely to arrive by April 7, while ‘Green Asha’ is expected by April 9. Officials said both vessels are safe and have Indian crew members on board. One ship is carrying around 46,000 tonnes of LPG, while the other has approximately 15,000 tonnes.

Latest Domestic LPG Prices

The price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi currently stands at around Rs 913. A 5 kg cylinder is priced at Rs 339, while a 10 kg ‘Xtralite’ cylinder costs about Rs 652.50.

Commercial Cylinder Prices

In Delhi, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder ranges up to around Rs 2,307.50. A 47.5 kg cylinder used in hotels and industries is priced between Rs 5,192 and Rs 5,248. The largest 425 kg cylinder costs between Rs 46,497 and Rs 46,999.

Prices of Small and Special Cylinders

A 2 kg LPG refill costs around Rs 254, while a new cylinder is priced at approximately Rs 962. A 5 kg non-domestic cylinder is available at around Rs 549. The arrival of these LPG shipments is expected to help stabilise supply amid global uncertainties.
