In a major security threat, authorities on Friday received information about a bomb being found outside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's official residence. However, the information turned out to be fake and officials who rushed to the site said there was no bomb. Security was beefed up outside the chief minister's residence following the scare and a bomb disposal squad also arrived at the scene.

Places around the CM's residence were searched. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said information about the bomb was received at the Delhi Police control room and an intensive search was conducted as a precaution. However, nothing was found. Police said an informant had called the control room about a bomb outside UP CM Yogi Adityanath's residence. Responding to the call, a team reached the spot and conducted a search.
