Maha Political crisis: Big blow for Fadnavis as Ajit Pawar resigns from Dy CM post

Ajit Pawar , who supported the BJP by revolting the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), resigned as the Deputy Chief Minister on Tuesday. He has submitted his resignation to Devendra Fadnavis. As per sources, Ajit Pawar met Sharad Pawar in Tuesday. According to media reports, during this meeting, Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule, NCP Legislature Party leader Jayant Patil were present. In the meeting, Ajit Pawar was asked to return back. He was asked to either resign or stay out of the assembly meeting tomorrow. Sources said that NCP had option B ready if Ajit Pawar had not resigned.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) rebel leader Ajit Pawar announced his support for BJP on 23 November. He then sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister. Devendra Fadnavis also sworn in as Chief Minister by the Governor. The Governor's decision was challenged by the Congress-NCP-Shiv Sena in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ordered floor tests to be conducted by tomorrow. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar has resigned from the post.
