A BEST driver suffered serious injuries after stones were pelted on his bus during the state wide bandh on Friday. The incident happened in Mumbai's Chembur area. "There has been a stone pelting incident in Chembur in which a BEST bus driver was injured and the windscreen of the vehicle was damaged. No injuries to passengers though. Officials said the bus was being operated on route number 362 and incident happened at 9:15am.'' 

Prakash Ambedkatr led Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi has called for a Maharashtra bandh on Friday to protest against CAA and NRC. According to Ambedkar, the implementation of CAA and NRC not only affects Muslims but also a large Hindu population. Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM has also stepped in support for the bandh.
