A massive fire has been raging for the past 24 hours at an electricity meter manufacturing company in Sector 4 of Noida, prompting a large-scale firefighting operation. Authorities deployed more than 35 fire brigade vehicles to bring the blaze under control as thick smoke continued to billow from the premises.

According to officials, nearly 30 lakh liters of water have already been used in efforts to douse the flames. However, firefighters are facing significant challenges due to the large quantities of plastic materials stored in the building’s basement, which continue to fuel the fire and make the operation more difficult.

Fire department teams have been working continuously through the night to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures in the industrial area. Emergency services remain on the spot, and cooling operations are ongoing.Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Manisha Singh said 26 people were injured in the incident and admitted to the district hospital for treatment."Some of the injured are undergoing treatment in the ICU. A few have suffered fractures," Singh told PTI, adding that all the injured are stated to be stable.
